BRIDGE HUB RECEIVES $500,000 GRANT FROM THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT
Blue River Group is delighted to announce that the Hon Karen Andrews MP, Minister for Industry, Science & Technology has approved Bridge Hub as a recipient of a $500,000 grant from the Australian Government's Incubator Support Initiative.
The Bridge Hub is a collaborative ecosystem that brings together the pillars of industry, research & government to create pathways to test and commercialise great ideas and research for the benefit of producers & consumers. As a commercialisation partner, it provides support through all stages of the commercialisation process in collaboration with its ecosystem partners.
The funding will provide Bridge Hub with the capacity to expand its existing services and activities. Headquartered in Wagga Wagga in the heart of one of Australia’s main agricultural regions, the Riverina, Bridge Hub also has operations in Sydney and Israel.
The Bridge Hub leverages international partnerships with leading organisations in Israel and other global innovation centres and facilitates access to Australian farms, supply chain participants and food manufacturers to trial and validate new ideas and technologies.
Bridge Hub Co Founder & Israel CEO Ms Ethy Levy said “We would like to thank Minister Andrews for her support. The grant funding will allow Bridge Hub to dedicate additional resources to accelerate its work with both agrifood tech startups in Australia and the building of deeper connections with world leading agrifood tech nations such as Israel.”
In addition to the Government grant announcement today, Blue River Group is also pleased to announce that all agrifood tech startups that partner with Bridge Hub in their commercialisation journey may be eligible to receive up to $100,000 in equity funding.
Blue River Group Co-CEOs Grant Fuzi & Craig Shapiro said that the ability for agrifood tech startups to have access to strategic capital is an exciting initiative for startups who partner with Bridge Hub.
“Access to funding is a critical component in the journey of any start up. Blue River Group’s announcement to provide access to capital for startup partners of Bridge Hub demonstrates our ongoing commitment to a more innovative and sustainable agrifood sector in Australia” said Mr Fuzi & Mr Shapiro.
