WORKING WITH INSPIRING YOUTH IN THE AGRI FOOD TECH SPACE

Bridge Hub has been fortunate to host students from the AgriFutures Australia Horizon Scholar program. As part of the program, participating university students from across the country have to complete additional placement in companies and organisations within the agrifood arena.

Late in 2018 Bridge Hub took on their first student, Indiana Rihnd - a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), major Agricultural Engineering University of Southern Queensland. Indiana was with Bridge Hub for a week and undertook some import work diving into some research of a different kind. She had insight into the global agri food tech ecosystem and how commercialisation of research and ideas occurs.

Bridge Hub were blown away by Indiana’s approach and also her level of knowledge, but most impressive was her willingness to learn and build her skill set for what is sure to be a bright future - hopefully in the agifood space!

Bridge Hub looks forward to welcoming their next Horizon Scholar in early 2019.
